Bona Law Antitrust Attorneys Recognized by Award Groups

Bona Law lawyers Jarod Bona, Aaron Gott, Jon Cieslak, and Steven Cernak have been recognized as top lawyers in the field by prominent lawyer award groups in 2021.

Jarod Bona received the 2021 SuperLawyers designation for antitrust litigation, an honor reserved for the top 5% of eligible lawyers in the San Diego market, for the fourth year in a row. Aaron Gott was recognized as a 2021 SuperLawyers Rising Star for antitrust litigation, a rating reserved for the top 2.5% of younger lawyers in the market, for the third year in a row.

Steven Cernak received the 2021 Best Lawyers® designation for antitrust law in the United States for the second year in a row, representing a consensus opinion of leading lawyers about his skill and ability as an antitrust lawyer. He was also recognized by DBusiness magazine’s 2021 Detroit Top Lawyers for antitrust law. Jon Cieslak received the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch designation in 2021 for commercial litigation and antitrust litigation, an award recognizing outstanding professional excellence for lawyers who are earlier in their careers.

Super Lawyers ratings are awarded after an extensive nominating and selection process. An individual lawyer must first be nominated by a threshold number of his or her peers to be considered by the selection committee. The selection committee then compares the nominated lawyers’ nominations, characteristics, and accomplishments—including representative matters, verdicts and settlements, publications, and community involvement—to decide which lawyers make the cut.

Similarly, Best Lawyers and DBusiness Top Lawyers use peer review to determine and recognize the top legal talent in each practice and geographic area. Lawyers are nominated and voted on by existing Best Lawyers members.

Each of these awards represents a third-party validation of a lawyer’s abilities and practice for the public and prospective clients, distinguishing their talent from other lawyers in their practice areas.
